Dancing with Two Left Legs is a one hour documentary about the power of music to mourn, to commemorate, to heal, to bring people together, and to help build a new, tolerant society.
The programme highlights the story of the Cellist of Sarajevo during the siege of that city, and explores efforts since the war ended to bring people together through music. It features founders and members of the wind ensemble Winds of Change, the Music Bus project in Srebrenica, Northern Ireland folk singer Tommy Sands; and the Director of Musicians without Borders International. The programme received funding from the Simon Cumbers Media Fund and was first broadcast on RTÉ lyric fm in 2010.
This documentary won the Bronze Medal (Human Relations Category) at the New York Radio Festivals 2010.
