In 2010, Irish musician Paul Roe achieved his ambition to perform the first ever Irish language version of Bedtime Stories, a work by American composer Tom Johnson. Paul played the solo clarinet, while Nuala Hayes narrated the accompanying text.
What’s the Irish for Bedtime Story? follows the project from conception to that first performance. This half hour programme was made with the support of the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland and was first broadcast on Dublin City FM in 2011.
Re-broadcast on RTÉ lyric fm on 22 December 2013 during the Nova programme.
