A one-hour programme on the life and work of Amy H H A Beach (1867-1944), considered to be the first successful American female composer of large-scale art music, who again and again during her composing career returned to Irish sources for inspiration.

The programme is funded by the Broadcasting Authority of lreland with the Television Licence Fee and RTÉ.
